Head in the clouds, feet on the ground

As any entrepreneur or business owner can attest, the road to success is paved with blurry moments, and the three months since my surgery have been amongst the blurriest and most chaotic ever. I had every ambition to write frequently during my recovery, but work was already crazy before I went under the knife and everything just accelerated from there.

While the first day of my knee surgery adventure was coloured with lollipops and rainbows and provided endless praise for the world of modern medicine, Day 2 seemed more like a fire at a tire dump, and the plume of smoke was so dark and thick it could be seen from space.

After many frustrating months dealing with my health issues and barely training and running, I finally had a date with my surgeon to repair the torn medial meniscus in my right knee on August 19. Here’s how my strange day went down.
